Omega Harris is a 6' 3", talented basketball guard who has made significant strides in professional basketball after a stellar collegiate career at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP). A talented athlete hailing from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma as a military child he traveled around but developed a passion for basketball in high school. In high school, Omega was a Runner-up for 2014 Player of the Year in the state of Oklahoma ... listed as the no. 3 prospect in the state by Scout.com and 247Sports.com ... also a three-star recruit by Rivals and Scout.com ... national top-150 prospect by Rivals ... collected 18.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as a senior at Putnam City West High School ... led PC West to a state runner-up finish on his way to being named The Oklahoman's Big All-City Boys Player of the Year.


After high school, Omega took his talents to UTEP where he currently ranks second in the UTEP record book in three-point field goals (174), fifth in minutes (3,767), eighth in three-point field goal percentage (.388), ninth in scoring (1,407 points) and 10th in steals (126) ... played in 119 games for the Miners with 100 starts ... scored in double figures 74 times, with fourteen 20-point games.


During his senior year, Omega Hampered by a bad back early in the season but still averaged 11.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 2.0 apg and 1.0 spg ... led the Miners in scoring, assists and steals ... shot 44.6 percent from the floor, 37.4 percent from three and 75.9 percent from the line ... started 30 games ... averaged a team-leading 32.7 minutes per outing ... over the final five games, averaged 37.8 mpg and 17.4 ppg ... tallied double-figure points on a team-high 19 occasions ... scored 12 points in the opener against Louisiana College ... played the full 40 minutes versus Boise State, the first of six games in 2017-18 that he went the distance ... recorded 10 points, four rebounds and a pair of steals against South Carolina ... tallied five points and two steals versus Appalachian State while leading the Miners in rebounding for the first time in his career with five ... tallied 13 points and six rebounds at NM State ... collected five assists and five rebounds against Lamar ... broke out with a career-high 28 points (9-for-11 FGs, 4-for-4 3FGs, 6-for-6 FTs) versus New Mexico ... followed that up by making all eight of his free throw attempts and scoring 18 points against Washington State ... posted 15 points and three steals versus Incarnate Word ... provided 17 points and four assists against Howard ... went 3-for-3 from three-point land, scoring eight of his 11 points in the second half at Southern Miss ... picked up his second 20-point game of the season at LA Tech, tallying 21 points and a team-leading seven rebounds ... matched his career-high with five steals versus Florida Atlantic ... harassed high-scoring UTSA freshman Jhivvan Jackson into a 3-for-14 (1-for-9 from three) shooting night in San Antonio ... led the Miners in scoring with 16 points against WKU while adding three assists and two steals ... came off the bench for the first time in 57 games versus UTSA and did not score for the first time since his freshman year ... made all three of his three-point attempts at Charlotte ... scored 16 of his 21 points in the first half against LA Tech ... tallied 18 points, including a four-point play, in his final home game for the Miners versus Southern Miss ... scored 10 of his 18 points in the final five minutes at Rice ... made 7-of-10 shots, scoring 18 points with seven rebounds and two steals at North Texas ... concluded his career with 12 points and six rebounds against UTSA in the C-USA Tournament.


After college, Omega played for the Enid Outlaws in The Basketball League, where he averaged 8 PPG, and 2STL, and shot 36% from 3pt while hitting 88% from the free throw line. Omega then traveled to Armenia where he averaged 22 PPG 9 RPG and 13 APG. After Armenia, he played in Lebanon for the Antranik Club where he averaged 14 PPG 5 RPG, and 6 APG, and then for the Medora Timberjacks averaging 18 PPG 7 RPG, and 7 APG. Omega most recently played in the Basketball Super League, for New Foundland Rogue, averaging 14 PPG 5 RPG, and 5 APG while earning 1st team defense and ranking 3rd on the team in steals.


Omega is known for his versatility on the court: he combines sharp three-point shooting with strong defensive skills and astute playmaking ability. His capability to create scoring opportunities not only for himself but also for teammates makes him a valuable asset to any team. Omega is passionate about continuing his professional basketball career, striving for excellence, and aiming to compete at higher levels. With his dedication, he aims to make a significant impact in the sport and inspire others along the way.
