Arin Freeman

Arin is a scoring combo guard with an elite level of athleticism and explosiveness. She is a relentless defender and, most importantly, a fierce competitor. Arin is driven to pursue excellence in the classroom, on the court, and in the community. She is committed to our vision here at UIC and is willing to do what it takes to help elevate this program to championship caliber.

In three seasons at Coastal Carolina, Freeman averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.6 steals per game. She appeared in 87 games for the Chanticleers, starting 82 times, while averaging nearly 29 minutes per contest and recording 51 double-digit scoring games, seven 20-point outings and three double-doubles.

During her 2023-24 campaign at CCU, Freeman averaged a career-high 13.5 points per game, second-best on the team and 18th in the Sun Belt Conference. She also scored in double figures 25 times, including six 20-point outings and posted a double-double (17 points, career-high 10 assists, seven rebounds) in the regular season finale against Georgia State on March 1. She then scored a season-high 26 points in Coastal's Sun Belt Tournament first-round win against South Alabama.

As a sophomore, Freeman led the Chanticleers in assists (4.0 apg.), while ranking second in rebounds (4.6 rpg.) and third in scoring (10.4 ppg.). She scored in double figures in 16 contests, including a season-high 18 points against Coker and College of Charleston. She added a double-double with 12 points and a career-high 16 rebounds against Furman.

In Freeman's first season at CCU, she ranked second on the team in scoring (9.0 ppg.) and led the squad in assists (2.3 apg.) and steals (1.1 spg.). Freeman scored a career-high 29 points against Radford on Dec. 19, 2021, and recorded her first career double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds against South Alabama on Feb. 24, 2022.

A native of North Little Rock, Ark., Freeman was a two-year starting point guard and team captain for North Little Rock High School. The floor general averaged 12.2 points per game with a career-high of 30 points. Basketball runs in her family, as her father, Allie Freeman III, played at Arkansas from 1984-88 and her brother, Allie Freeman IV, was a two-sport standout (football and basketball) at Ouachita from 2016-20.
